Go biking through the forest or along the quiet streets of Waitarere. Stop off and have a coffee at the local café @ The Beach Café or browse the gifts and crafts at the Gifts from Waitarere or stop for dinner at Ollies Bar and Eatery.
SEA KAYAKS AND BODY BOARDS.
Make the most of the beautiful beach; swim, use the kayaks or body boards. We will take the kayaks and life vests down to the beach for you and we will collect them when you are ready to come back to THE ANCHORAGE.
PARACHUTE KITES.
One for Dad, another for Mum and two for the very young, an expansive beach to test your skills.
TENNIS.
Local courts nearby – rackets and balls supplied.

FISHING.
Available off the beach using a Kon-Tiki Predator submarine for hire. We will bait, set the line and fillet your catch which you can either cook on the BBQ or we can vacuum package it up for you to take home. The fishing season is February through to May. Snapper, gurnard and kahawai are the predominate fish in this area.
WHITEBAITING.
The whitebait season is 15 August to 30 November and we have two nets available for hire. They make a wonderful omelette laid on a piece of fresh bread and butter – yum! Cook your fritters on the BBQ, or we can freeze them for you to take home.
